I love binkikitty 

first off, I don't know if you (as in, the public) know this but - I love Vienna Teng. I've always wanted to write stories to her songs but - I don't want to fail her. I guess I'm hoping that this one will live up to my expectations. I haven't written it yet - so I don't know - but I hope so. Please read.

029. Sea, Sungmin/Shiwon

We’re here where the daylight begins

He's the first one that stands out to you, to be honest. He stands tall, proud, a smile on his face with dimples digging into his cheeks and you want to smile just because he is.

You wonder if he's fake. He seems too good to be true.

The fog on the streetlight slowly thins Water on water's the way

You can't help but be startled in the fact that every move he makes is perfect. He never falters, he never screws up or anything at all, he's just - perfect.

The safety of shoreline fading away

And you find yourself falling in love with him.

Sail your sea

You are in love with him.  But he's not in love with you.

Meet your storm

He's in love with freedom. In love with choices. He's in love with chance. He's in love with things that are beautiful. He's not in love with you. But that's okay, you reason. It's okay. Because you realize that you don't need him to be in love with you.

All I want is to be your harbor

You just need him to be with you. To be near you. To know that you're there. To know that you're there for him.

The light in me will guide you home

"I'm here for you," you say to him one day, and he smiles and blinks.

"What's that, hyung?"

"Nothing," you say and look down, maybe feeling a little special because he stares at you longer than necessary while trying to figure you out.

Fear is the brightest of signs

"Heechul," he says to you one day, leaning back into the couch and closing his eyes and you stare at him.

"W-what?"

The shape of the boundary you leave behind

"Where is Shiwon?" you ask, as innocently as you can, while everyone is out drinking one night.

"Not here," Kangin says and laughs as Eunhyuk hiccups. "With Heechul?" Kangin looks around, confirming that yes, Heechul is not there as well, and then looks at you.

"Don't expect him around so much, anymore. Heard he's moving in with Heechul."

So sing all your questions to sleep, The answers are out there in the drowning deep

"He loves me," Shiwon says and hiccups once, twice, as he curls up on y our bed and you smile softly, stroking his hair.

Sail your sea

"Yeah."

Meet your storm

"Why would he do this to me?" Shiwon sobs and the hiccups, once, twice.

All I want is to be your harbor

You shush and sit there for another hour, stroking his hair and singing lullabies to him until he falls asleep and then you get up, getting a cup of coffee and staying up all night watching him sleep.

The light in me will guide you home

"Don't worry about it," you whisper to him when he wakes to the unfamiliar surroundings. You think to yourself that no one has ever looked so perfect while hungover and confused.

All I want is to be your harbor

"It's OK." you smile and send him back to sleep.

You’ve got a journey to make

"I'll talk to him today," He tells you with a hopeful smile and you nod.

There’s your horizon to chase

"Alright."

So go far beyond where we stand

and the he leaves you, walks to the other side of the room and sits down next to Heechul at the dining table, biting his lip and looking sorry.

No matter the distance

Heechul looks up and smiles.

"Shiwonah," he says and then mumbles something you can't hear, and that's when you stop looking.

I'm holding your hand

016. Quiet Places, Yesung/Ryeowook

''I'll be back soon,'' He says with a smile that goes all the way from his mouth to his eyes and you nod, your grip on his hand growing tighter and he sighs.

"Baby," he starts, "I'll only be gone for a day. Just to sing at *JongJin's wedding."

Yehsung frowns.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with?"

You nod, after a pause, and try to smile brightly.

"Don't worry about it - I've got some work to catch up on anyways."

He shakes his head and laughs. "All work and no play, Ryeowookie!"

His cell phone rings - oh, it's from his brother - and he apologizes.

"I better get going, baby."

He kisses you on the cheek and you do the same before he walks through the doorway and you lock the door, turning around and looking around your empty, lonely, quiet apartment.

"Hello," you say at - what you hope is - a normal volume.

"It's been awhile," you continue and sit down on the couch, bringing your cup of coffee to your lips slowly.

'you don't deserve him' they whisper and you nod.

"Yes, I know I don't."

'he's far too good for you,' the voices screech and you try not to flinch.

You sigh and put down the cup.

"Well what do you think I should do?"

they practically hand you their solution because you look up and there - on the coffee table - is a razor.

"Oh."

- - -

"Baby," Yehsung smiles as he walks through the door, his suitcase dragging behind him.

"Did you miss me while I was gone?"

"Terribly," you smile and he grins before looking at your attire.

"Long-sleeve shirt?" Yehsung glances outside and laughs. "Baby, it's still summer."

You re-adjust your sleeves and hold them - stretched out - with your thumb and grin.

"I dunno."

He laughs and shakes his head, "You're too cute."

You blush and your wrists ache as he takes you into his arms and together you smile.

with him, you're just fine, you reason.

it's the empty, lonely, quiet places that make you lose yourself.

049. "What's the difference?", Hankyung/Hankyung


"this," eeteuk would say sometimes, with a smile and a hand gesture towards you, "is hankyung. he's from china."

and this would be your cue to smile as well, bow a little bit, and say in accented and foreign korean, "hello. it's nice to meet you."

what's the difference?

"super junior china man!" the game show announcers would laugh and joke, smiling. you'd smile too because it was funny, you guess, and it wasn't like it was replacing your name, it was - as heechul had said when you two had first met - your nickname for your nickname.

it was your nickname that everybody knew, ''super junior china man'' , and you had laughed that day with the announcers, smiled and laughed along with them as their ''super junior china man'' until the end of the day when the producers had stopped and thanked you, thanked ''super junior hankyung from china'' and that's when you stopped smiling and laughing, when you realized you weren't hankyung or even hangeng, you were super junior hankyung from china.

what's the difference?

- - -

"super junior hankyung from china," the articles would say about you, and what was once was a part of you that you enjoyed having around had become a part of you that was everywhere, that you couldn't leave behind no matter how you tried.

"hankyungshii," the reporter would smile and you'd smile honestly back to her, and she'd say, "do you miss china ? how is your korean ? could you speak some chinese for us ?" and you'd frown and say, "i do miss china, i really do, but i like it here and - my korean is just fine now, i think and - and . . . " and a pause and you'd bite your lip, do i have to ?, and whisper something in chinese just loud enough for the microphone to catch and make the crowd to scream because ohmygod super junior hankyung from china just spoke chinese! what did he say, what did he say ?

what's the difference?

- - -

the realization of how much you hate yourself, how much you hate super junior hankyung from china only, hits you when you are standing in the bathroom, staring down at all the little toothbrushes scattered in front of the sink.

eeteuk, heechul, yehsung, kangin, shindong, sungmin, eunhyuk, donghae, shiwon, ryeowook, kibum, and kyuhyun it says, labeled on each toothbrush in sloppy korean, and then yours to the left.

it's labeled hangeng in Shiwon's neat chinese, neat and clean, slightly off the to the side moreso than the rest - different.

and you realize then that you just want to destroy it, want to take it into your fist and snap it, want to scratch it out and replace it with hankyung - in sloppy korean - and place it down scattered to the right like the rest of them. yet you can't because that wouldn't be right, even though hankyung wants to do so, it would be uncharacteristic of super junior hankyung from china.

it's then that you break down, fall to the floor crouching and sobbing to yourself, wishing oh so desperately that hankyung would die, or super junior hankyung from china would die, or that somebody would because this was getting too hard to live with. getting too hard to deal with these ideas of double personalities, this was hankyung - or was it super junior hankyung from china ?

what's the difference?

the difference between you, between you and you, was you - but the only one who seemed to understand was you (or maybe even you).

001. Freefall, Eeteuk/Kangin

In his dreams, Eeteuk is standing on the edge of the world, arms out and smiling as he teeters on the edge of life.

In his dreams, Eeteuk is alone, there are no whispers and no lies; Eeteuk is alone.

In his dreams, Eeteuk is ready, ready to leave - Eeteuk is ready to leave.

In his dreams, all it takes is a single step forward - or sometimes it isn't even him who has to move, sometimes the wind blows - and he's falling, falling  into a black abyss and it's all so nice and relieving.

In his dreams, Eeteuk always panics. He panics when he realizes that he isn't dying, isn't leaving, isn't it breathing anymore, just . . . falling.

In his dreams, Eeteuk is always scared - scared of what will happen when he reaches the bottom, scared of who he's leaving behind and who he will meet, scared of what he's doing.

In his dreams, Eeteuk is always saved - saved by a hand, reaching down and scooping him back up like a child and holding him near, holding him safe and in the light.

In his dreams, Eeteuk is always safe, always protected, always guaranteed love and affection and honesty.

and then Eeteuk wakes up, blinks a little bit and rubs his cheek into his pillow a little bit more before reaching out a hand and finding just a couple strands of hair to play with at the base of someone's neck.

Eeteuk twirls the strands around his finger, smiling softly, and whispers, "Thank you for saving me, Kanginah."
